i'm not sure that we should give president obama credit for united states. i think we would have seen the united states coming out of our economic system where he should regardless of what president obama. was efforts of stimulus indeed i suspect that in some ways efforts by the obama administration actually slowed down the american way with respect to the foreign policy there are a few hopeful signs over the nomination haykel by but given the extent to which the obama administration still seems to be whether to program using drones the power has the various laws specifically the issue of being able to target and assassinate people sensibly around the world including the fears americans are not sick or sanguine about the prospects or move forward toward the united states being a country which basically respects international we and also as we respect the liberties of our own people. israel will act a new parliament on tuesday the prime minister benjamin netanyahu predicted to come out on top there are many israelis don't think his policies are radical enough

obama has unfortunately continued much of his predecessor's. excesses and recklessness and some plays he's changed it so for example in the first four years we saw a focus on drones and special operations forces and utilizing allied forces as opposed to straight up invasions you know like his predecessor did with iraq the one exception to that is the afghan surge. and that has had been an utter a bold failure has failed on every observable metric so i don't think we're going to see much more that in the second term i think obama himself considered that a mistake but we will see a continuation of. you know a foreign policy of extreme interventionism getting involved in every corner of the planet regardless of the consequences it's just won't be the ground in beijing forces it'll be more or propping up dictatorships and bombing the countries now at home we've seen significant pushback from congress and with republicans maintaining a majority in the house of representatives how tough will it be for barack obama to push any of his policies forward

and it became evident to me in 2000 -- to early 2010 about a year after obama took office, three things happened. the first was -- it came from united states supreme court and i think no person in the united states that i can think of has benefited more from the supreme court then karl rove. two decisions. one in 2000 obviously was washed the gore which put his candidate in the white house and two, in 2010, citizens united decision. that opened the floodgates for contributions, unlimited contributions and in many cases from secret sources with no transparency whatsoever that is just unprecedented in history. the second thing that happened was running the republican party and it kind of ran into a ditch. he couldn't raise a dime and early in 2010 you may recall there was a revelation in los angeles that they republican national committee had been entertaining its donors at a strip club. and for the party of family values, this did not work too well so they could not raise a time. this gave wrote his opening, so in april he had a luncheon at his house in washington d.c. at weaver terrace.
